Software Developer

Reporting to the Director of Software Development as part of the development team. Develop software in accordance with ISL coding guidelines Promote innovative and good software development practices Investigate and fix or escalate reported bugs Assist test team with defect clarification and resolution Interpret requirements into specification

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week. Flexible with core hours 10.00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Location: Hybrid based in Melton Mowbray office with some UK travel. Potential for some overseas travel. Integrated Skills Offices (Melton Mowbray, Leeds, Guernsey)

Duties

Duties:

  • Resolving defects and maintain existing products
  • Develop features, applications, and solutions from technical specifications to the required standard
  • Identify and report issues affecting project delivery
  • Participate in internal meetings as required
  • Create and update bugs, tasks and stories
  • Produce internal development documentation
  • Participate in solution architecture and design processes
  • Liaise with internal product stakeholders
Requirements

Requirements:

Essential:

  • University degree level in a computing subject or equivalent demonstratable experience
  • 3 years commercial experience developing software applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Visual Studio 2022, C#, .net Core, ASP.net Core, GIT, JavaScript, HTML

Desirable:

  • Microsoft Development Certification
  • Full software life-cycle experience
  • Team spirited
  • Web Apps, Web Services, Jira, Entity Framework Core

  • Ability to follow established organisational coding guidelines
