Integrated Skills Limited (ISL) is proud to announce that we have been awarded a significant contract to develop a street cleanliness application for use in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This innovative software solution will support the monitoring, management, and improvement of street and public space cleanliness across the country, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment.
Based on the methodology for the UK Government’s Code of Practice on Litter & Refuse – an internationally accepted standard – the ISL Cleanliness Software Application delivers a range of benefits for the client:
- Inspectors and/or contractors follow the same methodology ensuring consistency of assessment criteria and results that can be compared across the municipality, and over time, eradicating subjective judgements
- Increased efficiency and productivity through digital data capture speeding up inspections resulting in inspectors completing more inspections per day with less administration overhead
- Improved accuracy through geo-tagged photos and timestamps provide objective evidence of inspections
- Reduced errors and omissions common in manual or paper-based processes
- Data-driven assessment that can identify cleanliness hotspots
- Enhanced transparency though the creation of an audit trail for each inspection as well as for monitoring performance

The software solution contains the following components:
- Mobile apps (iOS and Android) to facilitate evidence-based recording of cleanliness inspections by municipality staff/contractors
- A management interface for sampling, viewing, and reporting of inspection data
- KPI dashboard
Key elements of the functionality include:
- Automated selection of inspection locations (road segments) based on random sampling within the specified inspection methodology
- Automated assignment of inspections to inspectors
- Map views of assigned inspections
- Calculation of individual and overall Cleanliness Index KPIs for each municipality (or Contract Area to include new Industrial Areas)
- KPI dashboard for each municipality and each contractor
- To Do List, with list and map views
This project marks another milestone in ISL’s ongoing commitment to delivering smart, practical digital solutions that improve municipal service delivery worldwide.
