Edward L. Morton, BSME - Associate (USA)
Ed Morton is a mechanical engineer who has spent much of his career involved in various aspects of the cement industry, both in the United States and internationally. From 1988 to 1992, he was Director of Engineering and Operations for Cemtech Inc. responsible for the design, construction and management of four hazardous wastes and one non-hazardous waste fuels facilities.
Since 1992, he has provided consultancy services in connection with numerous domestic and international projects to recycle industrial wastes for their chemical or energy value. He recently carried out a detailed technical and economic assessment for a project to convert an existing cement kiln to burn hazardous and non-hazardous wastes in Latvia, and is currently leading a programme to develop and commercialise a new low-cost technology for processing and recycling used tyres.
