Peter Pauckner has both industrial and mechanical engineering qualifications gained in France and Germany. He also has project management qualifications and is a PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner. He is fluent in German, French and English, and a specialist in integrated organisational communications and information technology, particularly the design and development of database, Internet and GIS applications.

Peter has been with the Company for 6 years and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of asset and service management applications for the Guernsey Public Thoroughfares Committee and in the delivery of the Island Roadwork Information System (IRIS) to the States Traffic Committee.

He is ISL’s Technical Director and leading the provision of the Company’s IT services and software packages – Trafficworx®, Performance Manager® and RouteSmart^TM.

Recent projects include:

• Project Manager for a large SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system rollout to 64 remote controlled sites, based on Microsoft and broadband technology; for the Public Services Department, Guernsey.
• Development and deployment of an Online Survey for a Study on Food Waste Minimisation for FareShare, United Kingdom.
• Development and deployment of an Online Survey for the Study on the Achievements of the EBRD’s Environmental Mandate through Financial Intermediaries for the EBRD, United Kingdom.
• Project Management and Advisory Role for the Upgrade of the ICT systems of all States owned Primary and Secondary schools in Guernsey from Windows NT4/98 to Windows 2003 Server/XP, encompassing 26 sites, about 60 servers, over 3,000 workstations and laptops.
• Project Management, DR services and technical assistance in the setup, development and implementation of a Network Modelling Environment for Surface and Waste Water Collection, using the Infonet® and InfoWorks CS® software packages for Guernsey Technical Services, States of Guernsey.
• The specification, design, development and implementation of software for co-ordination of all applications for road closures and/or excavations, using workflow, GIS and database software, for the States Traffic Committee, States of Guernsey.
